Giving Tuesday 2025
Dear Friends,
This Giving Tuesday, we honor the life and light of Kaitlyn.
In 2019, We lost my beautiful 26-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, and her dear friend Joseph in a tragic apartment fire. In the midst of overwhelming heartbreak, I made a promise to myself…..that they did not die in vain, and her story would continue by protecting others.
No family should ever have to stand where we did, wishing we knew more before it was too late.
KaitKares began with that promise.
Our Mission
Today, our mission is to ensure every person understands fire safety — how to prevent fires, how to escape safely, and how to stay aware in every environment.
KaitKares advocates and educates families on fire safety by:
· Checking and maintaining working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
· Knowing how to use fire extinguishers
· Understanding the importance of renting with fire sprinklers
· Identifying two ways out of every room and building
· Creating and practicing a fire escape plan
Why It Matters
Your support helps us bring hands-on fire safety education to classrooms, neighborhoods, and families. Including those who may never have access otherwise.
This is more than information.
It’s prevention.
It’s protection.
It’s love continuing forward.
By giving today, you carry Kaitlyn's compassion, courage, and care into homes and hearts across our communities.
Together, we make every home safer in her honor.

Thank you for helping us keep Kaitlyn’s light shining and for making homes and hearts safer this Giving Tuesday.

Warmly,
Kim Denson
